Trichome will be going on an indefinite hiatus following our show August 16 at the Aggie Theatre. It has been an incredible journey thus far. We have gotten to play beautiful venues with musicians we respect and admire; we have done things as a band we could not have even dreamed when we first started. It would not have been possible without our dedicated a loyal fan base: without our family. We will always be eternally grateful for your support.
This was not a choice that came lightly, nor do we walk away in anger. Rather, this will give us all an opportunity to pursue other paths. We’ve come a long way in the past eight years. We have grown and made big changes, both as a band and as human beings. Trichome will always hold a special place in our hearts, and we will all continue making music in some form or another. Change can be painful, but necessary in making new beginnings. Even if it means that it marks the end of old beginnings.
We would like to all cordially invite you to our farewell show at the Aggie on August 16 for one last Trichome blowout party. Fort Collins favorites Papagoya will be there. Our good friend Paul Whitehouse will be doing lights, and we’ll have some other tricks up our sleeve. We would like to go out with a bang, so come party with us then and join us at the remaining shows we have on our calendar. Thanks again for the amazing memories; let’s make the last ones count.
